AIM is a membership organisation representing community pharmacy businesses with multiple pharmacies.

By submitting your data to us at any time in connection with administering your membership and supporting membership services, you consent to your information being processed by us in accordance with this Privacy Statement. If your information changes or you wish to change your preferences, please inform us of the change so that we can update our records. Why we collect information
We process your data where it is necessary for our legitimate interest and for the purposes of:

  • Your membership – providing your company with membership services and information (newsletter, events registration)

  • Our payments – raising invoices for membership renewals, sponsorship and events participation


  • Marketing - we will never pass your information to a third party for marketing purposes unless you consent to this


  • Management – sharing only relevant information with members of the board of directors


  • Cookies - we use cookies to distinguish you from other users of the website. This helps us to provide you with a good experience when you use our site and also allows us to improve our site


The types of information we collect about you
Protecting the confidentiality and integrity of personal data is a critical responsibility that we take seriously at all times.

AIM collects the following categories of personal data about Members and Service Providers (where appropriate in each case):


  • Identity Data - first name, last name, title, username, employer, job title, contact details (work email and phone number)

  • Contact Data - billing address, delivery address, email address

  • Technical Data - information collected through cookies.



We do not collect any Special Categories of Personal Data (this includes details about your race or ethnicity, religious or philosophical beliefs, sex life, sexual orientation, political opinions, trade union membership, information about your health and genetic and biometric data). Nor do we collect any information about criminal convictions and offences.
How long we will keep your information
We hold your information for as long as your company is a member of AIM, and for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.
To determine the appropriate retention period for personal data, we consider the amount, nature, and sensitivity of the personal data, the potential risk of harm from unauthorised use or disclosure of your personal data, the purposes for which we process your personal data and whether we can achieve those purposes through other means, and the applicable legal requirements.
By law we must keep basic information (including contact, identity, financial and transaction data) for 7 years for tax purposes.
Your rights to your information and making a complaint
You have a right to a copy of the information we hold for you (in paper or electronic form) and generally without charge. You may seek to rectify any inaccurate information. You also have the right to complain about our use of your personal data. You can contact the Information Commissioner's Office via their website: https://ico.org.uk/concerns/

We reserve the right to change this Policy at any time without notice to you so please check
